This property is being offered in a reserve auction, which means the seller has set a confidential minimum price (the “reserve”). Until that reserve is met or exceeded, the property is not yet guaranteed to sell.

One important thing to know:
You are not limited to the standard bid increments. While increments are provided as a guideline, you are welcome to place a bid at any amount at any time. Many bidders choose to do this strategically to try to meet or exceed the reserve more quickly.

Once the reserve is met, which will be indicated in the bid area in green lettering, the auction transitions to an “absolute” sale, meaning the highest bidder at the close of the auction will secure the property.

Concerned about placing a bid higher than reserve? No worries! The software will only take your bid high enough to achieve reserve and then will hold the remaining amount as your max bid and only bid by bid increment to keep you the winning bidder up to your set price

In short:

  • You can bid at any price—not just the suggested increments
  • Bidding above increments may help move the auction to a confirmed sale
  • The property is not guaranteed to sell until the reserve is met
  • You won’t pay over reserve immediately if you place a bid that exceeds reserve, the remaining amount of your bid will apply as a max bid.
